As a volunteer-based program, Exceptional Equestrians depends on volunteers for almost every aspect of our operation. Most importantly, we depend on volunteers to staff our clients' lessons. One group lesson can require as many as 9 volunteers! Without the appropriate number of volunteers, we are unable to safely serve our riders.
No experience with horses or disabilities is necessary. We provide quarterly volunteer trainings, and can also train volunteers on-the-job. This can be a great way to get community service hours for school or for work! Beyond working in lessons, EEMV can use volunteers in a variety of other capacities. Whether it is sweeping the aisles, cleaning tack, assisting in the office or helping with volunteers, whatever your skills are, we can use you! Volunteers are needed from early morning until mid-evening on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In order to provide consistency for our riders and horses, we ask volunteers to commit to a specific time and to come at that same time each week for a 12-week session. Activities volunteers can assist with:
Volunteers can sign up at any point in a session, so if you are interested, please call or email us today! Or click here to download our Volunteer Registration
