Exceptional Equestrians has been providing our highly effective and affordable services to children and adults in Franklin and surrounding counties for over twenty years. Our philosophy is to serve anyone in need, regardless of financial situation.
We understand many of our participants and their families often are inundated with extra financial responsibilities, such as medical care. In an effort to make sure that every child or adult who needs our services receives them, we've set our rates at an affordable cost and offer financial assistance to those who need an extra helping hand.
We are able to do this only through the generosity of our supporters.

Some smiles are just infectious. EE participant, Caroline, has one of those smiles. It lights up a room and brings joy to everyone around. Caroline has been a client at EE since 2018. Her volunteers enjoy working with her so much that they’ll re-arrange their whole schedules to ensure they don’t miss Caroline’s sessions!
Caroline’s Mom, Anne, says: “Exceptional Equestrians holds a special place in our family’s heart. For the past 5 years, our Sweet Caroline has been a client at EE. From her first session, we immediately saw benefits. As we drove away from her first time riding a horse named Tucker, Caroline said, “I am so excited!” What a surprise to hear her speak in a complete sentence! Riding horses at EE has been so beneficial for Caroline’s language skills. She loves to tell people about all of the amazing horses at EE! In addition to communication skills, riding at EE has helped improve Caroline’s core muscle strength, increased her direction following skills, and has boosted her confidence. Just like that first session nearly five years ago, Caroline still leaves EE excited each time! We are grateful for this opportunity for her and for all of the clients at Exceptional Equestrians
Caroline goes above and beyond to be part of her EE family. Caroline attends our all-inclusive summer camps, where she makes new friends and shows everyone that differences between us are something to be celebrated. She attends our Wine, Dine and Whinny fundraiser, and this year, even created a beautiful auction item of hand-painted greeting cards. She’s an incredible ambassador for EE, and a glowing example of the fact that the only thing we need to focus on are ABILITIES.
While one time donations are always appreciated and absolutely contribute to our success, in order to continue to grow our program, long-term commitments will make SUCH a difference. For the price of 3 trips to Starbucks each month, you could purchase a set of shoes for an EE equine.
We’re giving you the opportunity to become part of our Friends of EE Giving program
You can commit as much or as little as you wish! Levels are available from $19.99 a month to $1000. Members will be recognized in our large arena and invited to a special Open House reception.
