Therapeutic Riding
Through therapeutic riding our clients are able to improve a variety of life skills (such as following directions, working with others, or improving their posture) while participating in a fun and highly-motivating activity. Our goal at EEMV is to foster independence while providing a safe, caring environment. We provide trained horse handlers and sidewalkers to maximize each rider's success.
Therapeutic Riding sessions are available in hour-long, group settings to facilitate social development, or half-hour, private sessions to allow for individualized attention.
All of our instructors are certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, Intl at the registered or advanced level and maintain current CPR, First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certifications and continuing education units.
Therapeutic Riding Activities may include:
Improving balance, core strength and flexibility while learning the two-point position.
Working on sequencing, spatial awareness and building memory while trotting over a cavalletti course or riding a dressage test.
Interactive, fun games and activities such as relay races, trail rides and horse shows!
All participants in our therapeutic riding programs are required to submit a complete annual registration, including a medical release:
